Nest level lacrosse: girls

Wow. No one said anything about NL being “Elite” (sic) or that there was nowhere else to go in MD. I think you got into the pinot grigio too early this morning.

Usually overall B division winner would move to A.

NL is nowhere close to A level for 27s and still a way off for the 28s.

27s got the advantage of a pretty easy schedule with Crush being their only B+ team on their schedule. That said a big improvement from their performance in the fall and definitely going in the right direction if they can keep most of their starters.

That said, if the 27s get CCLax or HoCo in the semis, I still expect them to get blown out in a 12-3 kinda game.

The 28s game against Coppermine this weekend and likely rematch in the playoffs will tell us alot of that team.

I agree, but i think NL will keep it somewhat competitive. Would be shocked with a 13-1 coppermine win.

I see Coppermine winning this matchup.

Yeah it will be probably close, i'm guessing 11-7 Copppermine.

At least you got half of the prediction correct, NL did score 7.

Congrats, no need to play the playoffs, just hand them the championship now and then pencil them in for a championship against M&D and Heros in the A division!!

Imagine being this salty about 5th grade B division girls lacrosse. I think you need to get some perspective and stop hating on 11 year olds. What’s wrong with you?

lol, has nothing to do with players/kids or hating on their accomplishments/wins etc. Imagine being part of the Parents here, who from the posts above would make it out like the program is the best thing out there and Elite, no need to go elsewhere in MD. Good luck in the playoffs.

Tip of the cap to the NL 28s and 27s who have shown massive improvement since the fall. (especially the 27s who were flat out awful).

Now NL will face the problem of keeping its best players for next season.

Will be interesting to see if the 28s move up to A. Really depends on if they are OK going 2-6 instead of 8-0 or 7-1. Hopefully, they play at least one of their summer tourneys at "A" level and see how they fare.

I have nothing to do with NL as we are with BLC but I am very impressed with their success. B division or not it seems they are getting great coaching and the kids must be happy with all the wins. Congratulations!

Yes, NL seems to be enjoying some great success. What's the word within BLC? From the looks of it, the NGLL season wasn't kind to BLC (other than the 27s).

I have no insight to plans moving forward but I do think that many of the teams were not placed in appropriate leagues/divisions and from what I understand leadership knows that they made a mistake. Coaching, communication etc from BLC is top notch so outside of losing I think people are happy.

Looks like they are. For LaxIsLife at least, NL27 entered at the Competitive level (up from somewhat competitive which is normally does). Will be interesting to see how they hold up against some strong out of state and MD clubs.

How would you possibly know this? Tournament scheduling is typically not released until a week or two before.

Schedules for Impulse Lax Festival and Live Love Lax are out already. Looks like BLC and MCE are going for the 27s and BLC for the 28s for Impulse Lax. Not sure where NL is going for that weekend. BLC 28s are in the "A" bracket for Impulse lax for what it's worth. Anyone know what tourneys NL 27/28s are going too?

If you go on the website, you can see which level each club is signed up for. (This is true for all top of the bay tourneys) Schedules and matchups arent released yet, but you can see who will be in their division.

So for Next Level, they will likely play 4 of the following teams at this tourney

- Phantastix
- HoCo
- TLC
- Team One
- Dark Horse

If its 27 level, I would think NL is the best of those teams. Maybe HoCo is close to them. Hard to measure how far NL27 has come against that competition.

Of the teams I know, I would sat Phantastix by far the class of the group. We will know how close they are to HoCo this week. TLC had a very strong fall as well. Not familiar with other two teams.

Phantastix is probably 6-8 goals better than any other team in the list. They would have a winning record in MD NGLL A Level.

I'm assuming you are referring to their Purple team, but yes the Purple teams are pretty good and on par with NGLL A teams.

Both purple and white playing in that tourney, but Purple in the A/Competitive division.
