What do people think of Einstein?

What a sad thing to say!

Einstein will likely benefit from the boundary analysis. There is no reason kids in The Town of Kensington shouldMy be zoned for Einstein. The IB program has helped somewhat, but it needs to be reviewed for boundaries.

Best to leave them there. They like to think they are special.

Well, one reason is there's no room for additional neighborhoods to be zoned *to* Einstein. They already need to rezone several hundred kids *from* Einstein.

+ 1 Einstein is a fine school but it has no room. Town of Kensington will end up at Woodward or WJ and will take some of the kids from Einstein with it.

I think Einstein is a fine school. I don't know why so many people from elsewhere say such terrible things about it.

I do find it ridiculous about how many Einstein people brag about how secret rich they are (maybe so, but income data is available by census tract so doesn't really relate to discussion of the whole community) and how they are constantly agitating to have TOK zoned to their school (if it's so great as-is, why do you even care)? I'm not TOK btw.

I'm guessing it's just status anxiety, maybe justifiable given how big of jerks some of the other posters attacking the school are.

I hope they don't take us from Einstein. I don't want my kid bussed across town for a school that does not have the same offerings.

Town of Kensington. Part of Kensington is its own town and the other part is outside. Town years ago got redistricted to WJ which makes no sense location wise.

The point is that people are saying folks on the other side of the tracks are poor and not their equals. Many of us are very comfortable but have different priorities. I want my house paid off, not have to worry and be able to comfortably pay for college and graduate school as financial aid and merit are not a given.

Most of us don't want the redistricting of TOK as Einstein is already overcrowded. The overcrowding without a renovation is going to make things worst vs. better. But, doubtful Einstein will get a renovation soon given the population vs. a W school, even one that's had multiple renovations.

The problem with your analysis is that you are looking at 1 or 2 school boundaries assuming all other boundaries remain static. More than likely WJ and woodward will ease overcrowding in the Churchill and Whitman clusters and areas to the north and east of Einstein’s will be assigned to other clusters further east and north making room for ToK to have a much shorter bus rides for their HS students.

Stop worrying about what others think. You’ll be happier. Giving justifications just plays into your insecurity. Live your life free from the opinion of others.

People assume that no one chooses to live in the DCC. The point of mentioning income is not to brag but to point out that there are families here who could easily move without sacrificing too much buy who choose not to and are ok with that decision.
