Gaetz did good things, helping his ex with her brother and helping the brother after the break-up with the ex, but Nestor is not his son and Nestor is white, so Gaetz was out of bounds referring to Nestor as his "non-white son" to justify his All Lives Matter hectoring in a Congressional hearing.

Who is taking care of this kid while Gaetz is in DC?

He's 19 now, no longer a kid.

Gaetz's parents, of course.

Nestor probably will work for the Trump campaign in Florida if he isn't already.

is he legally able to vote? why does Gaetz census survey have him single, no children?

No one has said anything against the teenager. We are suspicious of Mr. Gaetz, and rightly so. He will deserve our most fulsome apologies if it turns out he is indeed taking care of this teen as if he was his father. Permit us to doubt this with the currently available information, however.

Love this jumping to conclusions w/o evidence. Might want to look up what Katie Hill said about his relationship with Nestor. She would actually know something since she observed it unlike keyboard warriors on the Internet.

What? no. There is no such thing as becoming someone's father because you are taking care of them. A parent-child relationship is a thing, and you're either a father or you aren't. Taking care of someone doesn't make you their parent. If you haven't formally adopted them to the point that you list them as your child on government papers, you are not the father! and they are not your child.

Based on this version of events, Nestor is Gaetz's "friend". Nothing more. Gaetz helped him out here and there. But, the level of their relationship does NOT equate to father/son. To suggest that Nestor is his "adopted" son is also wrong. They are like 12 yrs apart. That's not a parental relationship.

Perhaps Gaetz at one time could have claimed to be Nestor's guardian --- but even that is a stretch b/c it wasn't a formal gardianship. Basically, Nestor crashed at Gaetz's house. That makes Nestor a houseguest or friend. That's it.
