75,000 Pro-Gun Demonstrators in Richmond For "Lobby Day"?

Except you don't actually know anyone who owns a gun.

Actually I'm the pp and I own guns. And I'm a woman. And a liberal. But I don't need an AR 15.
All my relatives in VA who collect guns and ammo could not pass a poll / political / history test if their life depended on it. They don't even read internet forums or the freaking newspaper / news websites. I have to help them with anything legal they encounter.

So good luck getting them not to display their guns at lobby day!

Friends of our who live in Richmond received an email from their baby's daycare stating that they will not let children go on the playground today because of the gun's rights activists protesting the capitol from 8 a.m. to noon.

She is livid.

Kind of cold anyhow. Missing playground for one day? Not a lot to get livid about. She clearly has too much time on her hands to get livid over that.

It's going to be a LOT later than noon. We're going to shut Richmond down all day, into the evening.

Isn't it always so obvious when one of these gun grabbers lies about guns on here?

My husband was driving along 123 near Burke lake yesterday and saw his favorite crazy “gay republican” (sign this man apparently displays sometimes) marching down the paved path in Camo holding an AR. I asked if he had alerted the cops. Crazy man open carrying an AR near a public park cannot be a good thing.

And did he alert the cops?

He's just trying to get arrested to establish standing for a lawsuit.

Same thing as lunch counter protests in the late 50's in Alabama.

All civil rights are worthy of nonviolent protest. And yes, you can carry a rifle all day long and still be completely NONviolent. His problem is the police just aren't going to arrest him, because he's not breaking any law. Maybe after the VA legislature changes the law he'll have better luck.

I wish him well.

I'm the pp and not lying.
Believe it or not many of us are responsible gun owners who do not own, or ever wish to own, assault rifles.

I've inherited hunting guns from my family, and have a small firearm for protection. As do most of my female friends. If you are a woman or person of color, you are crazy if you don't have some type of gun for protection. But I don't feel like I need an assault rifle to kill large numbers of people.

Again, good luck with the protest if you plan to attract gun crazies from all over the southeast and midwest. I will be praying for all the Virginians there, even though I don't support their cause.

I think most of us will be from Virginia like we are every lobby day.

I will never carry a gun for protection, and I’m not crazy. I do everything else I can to protect myself. Carrying a gun in my purse? Nope.

Haha. I think you’re assuming much thought goes into what this dude does. My husband sees him a lot, and said the police are likely well aware of his antics. He’s a weirdo.
