Hysteria? There are pictures of them entering with phones in their hands. They tweeted from inside the SCIF. Etc. |
Then wtf are you arguing about?!?! Do you know what thread you're on? |
It is in an investigatory phase right now. Next there will be a public hearing phase with plenty of opportunities for "cross examination." Assuming Trump is impeached then there will be a trial in the Senate with more cross examination. Be careful what you wish for - public hearings will make things worse for Trump, not better. |
Politicians and presidents on both sides are opportunistic. The only difference is that Trump does not give a crap unlike other politicians. It is both a strength and weakness of his. |
Nancy Pelosi is at her brother's funeral today which is why they chose today to illegally storm the SCIF.
No, there is no bottom. |
It’s over. For now. https://twitter.com/tierney_megan/status/1187082114711347200?s=21 |
I do ...... do you? |
He doesn't know the difference between what he should and should not do. That's not a good thing. As we see. |
They are all afraid of her! |
As I said, I am not a Trump supporter but I am not on the bandwagon of condemning anything and everything that he does. The question for me is not whether Trump will be removed from office - he will not. The question is whether any damage will take place to Trump in terms of his reelection. I doubt it but that remains to be seen. |
Yes, I'm on the thread about 25 House GOP members violating national security, and the law, by storming a SCIF and bringing their cell phones inside, while you're blabbering about winning the next election. So you either don't know what thread you're on, or you do know, and you're a troll trying to deflect attention away from this. |
I'm the very first PP you're responding to. I didn't write either of the other two posts in this thread. Taking a cell phone into a secure location isn't pronouncing innocence or guilt on hysteria. It's a fact/event. It happened or it didn't happen. The most damaging thing Trump has done is completely eliminate a lot of American's abilities to determine fact and fiction. Or fact and opinion. This incident is not like, 'oh we all see it a different way' type thing. Secure rooms are set up for a reason to protect national security and compromising them is a big deal. One that, as another pp has pointed out multiple times, would get a regular employee fired without much question. As for your other point. I used to be like you. 2020 is the most important thing, eyes on the prize. But Trump has to be impeached for posterity. We cannot have allowed a president to do what he has done without consequence, allowing it will erode norms for generations. It is the duty of congress to investigate presidential malfeasance and to remove from office or censure a president who violates his duties of office. I believe that it would politically smarter to not pursue this, but it would be like letting one person get away with murder because its too hard or awkward to prosecute. It would be wrong. My libertarian used to be a Republican husband thinks this even more than I do FWIW. |
Hey.. why not.. the French stormed the Bastille, and look how that turned out.. French Independence day and the beheading of the elite. I'm sure Trumpsters would love that. |
This is serious third world banana republic stuff. IOW, just another day for today's Republican party. |
He was exercising his pledge to preserve and protect Trump's big fat a$$? This was the action of petulant children Absolutely disgraceful. |
