I think you're either purposely or naively underestimating the various shifts happening in this country . Huffmann will always known be as the woman who went to jail for attempting to bribe her kid' s way to college . TV is overwhelmingly consumed by the very people whom federal prosecutors argued her actions were prejudicial to. If an instant poll was conducted shortly after the verdict you would've been shocked at the results because as I said the reactions ranged from 'thats what she gets ' to ' she should spent more time in jail' . Who exactly do you think these people are ? The Greenwich ,Connecticut crowd ? The white shoe law firm lawyer who watches little or no TV at all? No! These reactions came from the working/middle class people who are increasingly convinced America is rigged. Felicity Huffman is the face of a rigged system

Shortly after the verdict , I saw reactions on various sites and I can assure you that if 100 people commented , conservatively , 90 of those had absolutely nothing nice to say about her . These are the people you think will enthusiastically tune in to watch her ???

FH works because she’s known as a legit actress. She’s not tabloid material and she didn’t have her name above the title before this. She might now.

Felicity is an acclaimed actress. She was not born with a silver spoon and worked hard to become successful. She messed up and is being used as an example.

She didn't just "mess up". She plotted, planned and schemed her way into the trouble she's in. Remember - this is only what she has been actually caught doing. I have a hard time believing that this was her first time doing something shady.

Lori Laughlin is so "out there" and entitled that she didn't realize that what she did was even wrong at first. This sort of stuff was par for the course for that ding-a-ling and her equally entitled husband. I don't feel sorry for them at all. I actually feel way worse for their kids who have known nothing else and know no other way. They are going to have some very rude awakenings.

+1 And I bet a lot of the posters here have done things that I’d consider worse than what FH will serve time for. I’m quite positive that many here have brought misery to many around them.

I’m not so sure about this. They aren’t attending college and the older sister seems to have lost her “job.”
