Why not somehow guarantee anonymity for reporters of concerning individuals? Let's go for viable solutions here, people. |
Inconvenient truth. |
What kind of gun did these "good guys with a gun" have? Willing to bet it wasn't a semi-automatic rifle with a huge ammo clip. |
Anyone? |
When your side has to argue that a 17 month old really didn't technically get her face blown off, it is not helping people feel generous towards gun owners. I can't believe this is where we are right now. |
Not saying the shooters name publicly (which is now public) doesn’t mean the police won’t investigate. It’s means the shooter won’t get notoriety. Combing through is SM is not your job citizen detective. |
This. You PP, in your cynicism, think that other commenters are using a baby’s injuries to score political points. Maybe we actually just want babies to stop getting shot. |
|
Yes. Very tricky but must be done. There are ways to make anonymous reports in most communities. |
Exactly. It must be guaranteed EVERYWHERE. Here we have an actual solution. There are always red flags. Always. |
you do realize that rapid fire semi auto rifles have been around for 100 plus years right? They are not some new thing, so maybe they are not the cause. |
We are past the point of whether they are cause. They are clearly the means and must be banned and confiscated. The GOP and 2A supports don't really care about identifying, let alone addressing the cause, or they would let the CDC study gun violence and stop trying to gut Obamacare and our country's precarious social safety net. It's an excuse they have trotted out over the years to appease the gun lobby and gun fetishists that is no longer working with mass shootings happening every few weeks. |
Bombs and vehicles must be next.... |
Vehicles are heavily regulated, as are drivers, and you have to successfully make a bomb. No comparison. |
Opioids are also "heavily regulated", aren't they? Keep ignoring the actual cause of the violence and addictions. |
