Did we already discuss the “Everyone not poor is fleeing MoVo for Virginia” poster?

I think Flip is female for sure.

Ew poster comes to mind. I prefer Gross to Ew. Ew sounds much more childlike.

And the person who posts only the shock emoji for things that have zero shock value.

Damn, that was 5 years ago.

I don't think she was real, but yet loved her anyway. I loved that someone thought that a middle-aged guy who is an Executive would have some special breakfast that's different from what some other middle-aged guy would eat. She picked the most random aspects of life to wonder about.

If your husband is an Executive, does he put on one shoe and one sock, or both socks and then shoes?
If your husband is an Executive, does he use his parking break all the time, or only on hills?
If your husband is an Executive, does he call your son "Sport" or "Champ"?
If your husband is an Executive, what brand of ear and nose hair trimmer does he use?
If your husband is an Executive, does he give the illusion of being in love with you or is he blatant about his side piece?
If your husband is an Executive, do you cut his meat for him to save him time or will he do it himself?

LOL. I need to look these up.

There’s two

22101 & 22102 both equally obnoxious and like to argue the merits of their respective zip code

Was one of them the one that said if you lived on the "bad" side of McLean you should not think you are playing with the big boys? I laughed so hard.

People are ridiculous.

YES! They are so ridiculous.

I read the real estate section almost daily. I dont' think there is a 22101 vs. 22102 poster war but I do think there is one nutcase who has to run down Great Falls real estate at every opportunity. I don't understand why they do it (and I don't live in Great Falls) but they seem to have a personal or business reason to continue to post over and over that nothing is moving in Great Falls and that real estate is doomed there.

Yes! I’ve noticed that poster. It’s either some sort of chip on his/her shoulder, or a realtor from Arlington trying to send potential customers their way. Either way, they’re engaging in some major wishful thinking.

It is part of the McLean Booster's schtick. He irrationally hates 22102 as much as Great Falls, and Vienna too of late, because he thinks it will somehow help his choice of residence: "but everything else sucks, except my choice!" Stomp, stomp, stomp......basically him in a nutshell. His neighborhood listserv is filled with "this is the best neighborhood ever!" proclamations, except he does nothing to help his case. A lot of us think it is funny, though. A bit sad, but still funny.

There’s someone on the Expectant Moms forum who always posts that all baby showers are trashy whenever the subject comes up. Seems like a weird hill to die on when you’re on a forum for pregnant women, but ok.

I swear there's someone who lurks on DCUM constantly and desperately tries, whenever there is a post questioning / asking about what someone else is doing (no matter how innocuously asked), immediately posts: MYOB. It's pathological how often it's the first response.

Sometimes of course it's appropriate, but often it's more like:

My neighbor just put out a green trashcan, green seems more popular, should I buy one? MYOB!

My SIL complains a lot about the weather, is there something I can say to stop it? MYOB!

I don't mean to make light of this, but I always notice the grandmother whose grandson has leukemia. Her first few posts were heartbreaking of course, but over time she's said dreadful things about her grandson's doctors (being foreign and therefore incompetent), her daughter, her daughter's inlaws, etc. I think the last post was about how she's being squeezed out after having given so much.

By this point, I guess I am happy she's posting here and hoping that is keeping her from nagging the parents of her grandchild.

Which neighborhood listserve? I think it's an Arlington agent.

Lyme Lady has been quiet lately, but that'll probably change once Spring is in full swing. Anything in the health forum is blamed on undiagnosed Chronic Lyme Disease, and she recommends a shady "doctor" who has had his license revoked and very questionable credentials.

There's also MLM Defender, who posts in all the MLM-related threads about how she's so sad that women are not supporting each other and lifting one another up. In addition, we should be ashamed of ourselves for not buying our friends' crap.

There are a couple other notable posters, but I'll probably get in trouble for bringing them up (related to the Politics forum).

Nope. McLean. I don't think he cares how obvious he is anymore, so maybe the mind is totally gone by now.

Oh yeah, it is definitely pathological - so impulsive!
