"It is honestly shocking how much Fox News' rhetoric about immigrants mirrors Nazi propaganda"

What about you?

Oh yeah, you're exactly right. Cable news -- and the for-profit media more generally -- is the deepest problem. CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, chasing clicks and eyeballs for profit, got Trump elected.
Having a TV media that is essentially infotainment is terrible for America.

But he can quote Fox lies chapter and verse about Hilllary and Uranium One and Foundation etc etc.

You obviously don't watch Fox. Manafort is much discussed there. Hillary and Uranium One come up occasionally. But, of course, they never come up on the other networks.

+1.

Personally I think you need to watch both CBS News or similar AND Fox News to actually be informed about what's happening on our country.

Each prioritize only the most convenient half.

Yep. I feel the only way to get both sides to a story is to watch/read all kinds of sources. They're all biased, so you might as well hear all the slants and them make up your own mind.

Nonsense. Reputable newspapers are as unbiased as they can be. You can get international papers on line. Do not watch any cable or broadcast news! At least the act of reading involves the critical center’s of the brain.

Fair point.

Now, do you read newspapers/ online news with opposing political views?

If you'll both notice, the PP mentioned watching AND reading all news sources. Critical reading, and all...
Additionally, most of the liberal DCUM crowd lives and breathes CNN, MSNBC, etc., so you might want to talk to your cohort about their TV viewing habits.

Ugh yes. Does the conservative crowd here realize that Uranium One is a total lie?
That Fast and Furious was a lie?
That Lois Lerner was...
a lie?

Yes - I agree cable news is the core problem. Infotainment and profit seeking from CNN and MSNBC and Murdoch-led propaganda at Fox. Terrible for democracy.

But not all newspapers are honest. Don't read the WSJ opinion section - it's all propagandists paid by Murdoch to lie. I know a WSJ reporter, and have heard personal stories about how Murdoch's handpicked editor turned the opinion section into pure propaganda (and influenced the news section too.)

More lies of omission (lies of distraction, if you like) from Fox and News Corp from last week:

If you want to know why 30% of America still supports our corrupt, moronic, thieving, Putin/Saudi-owned president -- this is why.
30% of America gets news from rightwing outlets and so has NO IDEA what the truth is.
They think green is blue and couches are oranges. They're lied to, and people who live in blue areas barely realize how badly misled red areas are.

Thanks, GOP billionaires.

Hannity hosting conspiracists telling lies about Parkland.

Everyone, this has to stop. We cannot have complete liars beaming white supremacy and hate into 4M living rooms of old white people every night, and expect American democracy to survive.
(Yes, this is on radio. Even WORSE. Rightwing radio has more listeners than Fox has viewers.)

I've read both the NYT and WSJ for years.

The difference is that the WSJ has crazy opinions just in the Opinion section while in the NYT they are biasing absolutely every page.
