This is funny. It may be fair to critique a club lacrosse team for a variety of reasons. Maybe you do not like the level of play, the coaching, the cost, your kid did not make it...Whatever. One thing that you cannot be critical of at VLC is the amount of information they put out. Everything VLC ever does is immediately shared on every social media platform you can think of. Some may think it is a bit much but they are not hiding.

I noticed the VLC teams aren’t playing in the highest division in HOCO. Are the VLC parents surprised by this or was this expected?

VLC parent here and the situation was explained to us by VLC. From what I was told, there was a preliminary HOCO sheet that had the various tiers and VLC had two teams at the highest level and two teams at the 2nd highest level. A guy who runs VLC explained that when the final list was sent out, they made shorter divisions that knocked down some teams like VLC.

VLC tried to argue to keep the teams where they were originally set, but were outvoted. We are a family that came over to VLC this past year and are very pleased with the transparency and instruction our family receives.

Thanks. Are you able to say how many practices the youth teams have each week during the Spring (and Summer if you by chance already know), and where are the practices held? I see the game/tournament schedule is posted on the VLC website but nothing about practices is listed.

Different PP My kid's team had seven practices in September and October, then eight "Skillz and Drillz" sessions December through February, then 13 practices until the end of May. Usually one per week. Practices are generally at GMU. Tournaments in June and July but no practices scheduled for those months.

They will most likely have at least two practices a week in June and July after NVYLL season is over and HS for the older teams. They do practice more as the tournament time arrives.
