| BTW, when the President of Princeton, opts to send his own kid to UChicago, instead of the single letter schools, that should tell you something about the state of education in this country right now. Not sure how many here know about this. |

You also don’t even know how long the university has been around. You say it changed in 2000 or 2010, but was a certain way for 50 years beforehand. You realize it was founded in 1890, not 1950 or 1960, right?

No it just shows how a few people who hate the school try and derail every thread about the school. If you tried that with Dartmouth or Notredame or Tufts or Tulane even that STD capital Dook, you would get an even more violent reaction. It's called school pride. UChicago didn't have any for many many years but now has it in spades. |

LOL You realize UChicago is pretty small, right? It has about 16,000 total students, including undergrads and grad students. By comparison, Michigan has about 41,000. The smaller size plus lack of big name sports teams is the reason why you don’t really see people with Chicago shirts on. But why think about it critically? Just bashing the school is way easier. |
