Pp, I also find the video disturbing. There is so much pain in the boy's body language. The way he clings to the singer...

Although minor, another thing I noticed was the boy wasn't wearing any shoes or socks. These moms could not even meet the children's basic needs.

In a way this reminds me of the NYC nanny who murdered two of the children she cared for. She keeps trying to make excuses by saying she had nothing but LOVE for those children she stabbed (one just 6 years old 30 times) and nearly decapitated. She and her son refer to it as the "mistake or incident" that was so well planned it could not be the case.

I wished the one mom who plead guilty to child abuse went to jail. Maybe she would have received the help she needed and the kids could have been reassigned a proper family.

Yep. They couldn't put shoes on the kid's feet but they had the time to shave "LOVE" into the hair on his head. Makes for a better photo op, right? Sickening.

They were the types of people who, if they thought that someone else was watching, would grandly pull over and make a big show of moving a turtle in the middle of the road out of the street and onto the safety of the grass. There seems to be an absence of pictures of the children from the last two years. I wonder if they continued to go to concerts and festivals or if they had been out of the public eye for the last while.

No one seems to talk about having seen them recently other than the neighbors when the children came to ask for food.

Withholding food is such an abusive control tactic as it also physically and mentally weakens the victims.

Also the isolation, no school and they were always kept inside, never playing in their yard. Usually home schooled children are encouraged to join scouts or play with the neighborhood kids so they can learn social skills. probably the moms were afraid the kids would report them if they had contact with the outside world (other than their groupies). I wonder what the 19 year old was doing? didn't appear to be employed and he was past the school age. He could have held at least a part time job at that age even if he was still being home schooled.

when the boy leaves the stage the mom picks him up like a baby and a woman behind them in the crowd can be seen touching the boy. If this is what they do in public, I wonder what they did with those children behind closed doors, besides the hitting.

Adoption requires home visits, interviews, etc. It is quite intrusive and you do need to disclose any mental health issues and get letters from doctors. I don't know who these women used for their home study - but perhaps that person did not do a good back ground check?
