Professional woman - belatedly woke!

Just realised that I am still subject to the assumptions of my fundamentalist upbringing, despite being an apparently modern woman with a profession. Had a major disappointment at work this week that showed me I have prioritised my husband's needs and job over my own. I neglected my priorities in a way that is toxic for both of us and our relationship. Not anymore! Am infuriated with him and myself, but also learning. Just wanted to share, since I assume the sisterhood is active on DCUM!

Sisterhood is active indeed my love. We goats and crazy lunatics like you are taking over the world hahahuhuhahahuhuhuhahaha.

You know this yet perpetuate the bra burning I am woman hear me roar attitude used only in public. In private it's back to being frustrated with your chosen mate. A mate according to this website that can't do anything without explicit instructions written in bold crayon from sista mommy. LOL. Tiger Wife.

Being " WOKE" is the new emotion that seriously sounds stupid. But we all have a dream right ?

I woke up this morning and thought, WTF are these insane people populating our country?

And WTF can we stand up to Russia and China and North Korea when we have so many crazies in the house?

I think you need to find a good therapist and figure out why you react like a butt-hurt 5-yr-old when somebody reads you. Yeah you got READ. Don't take everything so personally, that's probably half your problem right there.

You're welcome.

OP here. I am grateful for the support that has been posted here, amid the debate over vocabulary. The latter does not interest me and I was not a party to it.

The thread title would make sense to anyone who neglected their own priorities and later realized that this hurt both spouses. Perhaps your experience has been different.

Another PP noted that sometimes relationships are 60-40 instead of 50-50, and that's ok. 75-25 is not.

You do not need a pink hat or a therapist to see that this is common sense.

Do you get anything done or are your panties in such a trip you're suffocating yourselves.

Nope. I send a quick correction if the wrong word changes the meaning of what I sent and ignore it if it doesn't. What I do not do is start a 100 message text chain with a recipient who points out the wrong word - I say, "You're right, I meant 'definitely' not 'defiantly'." and move on, which OP seems totally unwilling or unable to do.
