Swami says you will not be of those that DCUM would consider lucky. Your waitlist numbers will range from 40 to 280s. You will watch your H-A number shoot down quicker than most, but will end up having a great year at Langley. You will join in the chorus of happy Bloomingdale moms who sing Langley's praises... for one year.

Lottery swami, any thoughts on the number inches of snow and whether school will be closed?

Swami says 1.75 inches south of Missouri/Porter
2.5 inches above.
Swami sees delay not closure, but swami is not a meteorologist.

Swami, I really enjoy your calculated and measures responses to questions.

Go, Swami, go!

Swami thinks maybe I should get into meteorology after all.

Seriously. I really want to give you my list but we live in a sort of small neighborhood and have twins ... for some reason I don't want all my neighbors to know I'm posting my list on DCUM so a lottery Swami can predict our futures.

Swami says you will not get into your heritage charter, and you will be ok with that. One of your twins will have a top 10% number, the other's will be terrible, but will be pulled in to one of your top choices. You will rearrange your top 10 numbers at your top 4 quickly and identify the school that will work best for both twins before getting a call 10 days after the lottery results.

Swami says I was right south of Missouri-- how was my north prediction?"

We are ~1.5 miles north of Missouri, and I feel like Swami was on target--I'd say we had about 2.5 inches. So definitely in the ballpark.

PP, we'd love to have you at Langley. Not trying to oversell it, but PK3 has been a good experience and we would be fine with staying for PK4. I think we are making a lot of progress. --A Bloomingdale mom.

We've heard great things from around the hood this year! And while I agree with Swami in terms of the overall sentiment, it's worth noting that Bloomingdale has only been fully zoned into Langley for one year. So past isn't prologue.
