None IB.

Swami says you better have a backup plan. When results come out you will have some numbers in the 30s, you will feel good about how the ITS and CMI waitlists moved last year for 1st grade. You will be disappointed to see that doesn't happen again this year.

We are fine with our Hill ES for now. Haven't ever gotten an offer anywhere else!

Swami thinks you will stay where you are. You will get off 2RY by count day, but after 72 hours of deciding, stay where you are.

Swami says enjoy your backup, and work to be more than "ok" with it!

Swami wants to know why you put so many schools on here that take no OOB in PK3, but also say you will get into Bancroft... by count day. It will stress you out all summer after you enroll at ATCH.

Swami edits because she had two glasses of wine tonight. IT will stress you out all summer after you enroll at ATCH on initial match, Garrison 15-20 days later, and then Bancroft, by count day.

Thanks Swami. All these schools (except the dual-language) had wait lists with a small number of in-boundary students, so a very high lottery draw would result in a high waitlist position as an OOB applicant and the possibility of admission off the waitlist. That is risky of course, which is why there are two safety schools toward the bottom. But generally I think your prediction is spot on.

Don't you think that if you had such a high draw, you'd get into your IB and everything else would fall off the list anyway?

That's funny.... I hadn't thought about that!

Seriously? Did you not read the MSDC FAQ?

The fall-off thing doesn't always kick in as it should.

When didn't it? That would be a massive fail of the system.

Huh? WTF are you talking about? If you get matched, you will not be waitlisted at any of the schools below on your list.
