Exxon CEO to be SOS

Excellent choice: he will sail through confirmation.

A couple of defections from the Republicans but there are enough Democrats vulnerable in 2018 who will support his confirmation.

Also, thanks to Harry Reid and the Democrats, the nuclear option has taken away the filibuster option for his confirmation!

That wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.

Surely you jest! Private citizens don't know what is in their best interest or the country's best interest! Why do you think we have a huge government, career politicians and layer after layer of policy wonk? We have them because THEY AND ONLY THEY know what's good.

You silly civilian!

Hahaha. Love this!

Good point. Let's go with a kleptocracy run by Russian pawns. Definitely would be novel, and the Trumpkims are too dumb to complain.

Do you think most could find Russia on a map?

Agreed it's going to be a very interesting experiment.

Said with zero sarcasm -- this can truly work (or not, course, as with any other SOS)

No, it can't truly work, the stupidity really is amazing.

Trumpkins are very bad at logic. Unsurprisingly.

But they thrashed Hillary in the election!

BTW, I did not vote for Trump but the reality is that he came out of nowhere and destroyed 16 other Republicans, the Bush and Clinton dynasties and the establishment of both parties. And he did that all with the help of the Trumpkins!

Not bad ........

You mean whe he won on a technicality and lost by close to 3 million vote. Or when he sold out his base by appoint a bunch of billionaires. Or by his historically low approval rating.

You two kiddos really don't have a clue.

What it would signal to the greater business community is that rules no longer apply. Businesses are unchecked (freedom!!) and are free to pollute, create monopolies, turn away the disabled, chip away at the safety net, and overall maximize profit over people

Yeah, yeah .......... but he will be president for the next four years. And with Pelosi's help maybe the next eight years.

I am all for Hillary running again in 2020. Remember that glass ceiling needs to be broken

+1. It's like 20% of Americans Dunning-Krugered all over their own faces and the rest of us are left trying to explain to the nonvoters what it all means

Still unclear if he will even make it to inauguration. The republicans will jettison him when convenient, too much baggage. The transition has been an utter disaster and is only half over.

More than amazing, it's sad to see so many demented folks like you these days.

Sorry, guys, Trump won. And he's putting together a pretty solid cabinet based on HIS agenda', same as any other President.
