LOL!!!!!! I cannot WAIT for Election Day! |
You do know that *many* Repubs have come out against Trump because of his racist and hateful rhetoric? It is not just "libs" denouncing him. When you have several high ranking Repubs crossing over and publicly stating that they will support HRC, a person whom many Repubs dislike strongly, you know there is something deeply wrong with the Repub presidential candidate. --signed a former Republican. |
I love how you stereotype the very people you accuse of stereotyping. You're no different from the people you hate. Look in the mirror. |
Because ... Trump. He's yuuuuge with the all the Hockey Mom Grizzlies doncha know with the Lamestream Media and no Obamaphones. Hey didja know Putin is a terrific leader. Just look at his poll numbers. |
IDK, I don't think HRC and her supporters should rest on their laurels. This was a gaffee by her. I *strongly* dislike Trump, but I don't like HRC either, though I will vote for her because the alternative is just too damned scary. I would not be so over confident about his chances of winning. I think he has a chance of winning, and it's truly frightening. I am scared for my kids' and their future. His environmental policies alone will kill the earth. |
uh no In fact, it's now PC to use white trash since blacks can't be racist. We can make fun of poor whites since whites are currently the majority. That's how the country is rolling. We've evolved so much as a country - just one, big happy fucking mess! |
I was in a major airport in the south yesterday and the tv at the gate was showing Trump speaking. Everyone was glued to the tv rolling their eyes, cringing and laughing. We were a diverse group and the consensus was that Trump is definitely in the early stages of dementia. He can only manage small sentences/statements. He doesn't make sense. And he comes across as crazy. I was sitting around a lot of southern republicans who were really tearing into trump. No educated person takes him seriously. FYSA: we were waiting to board a plane to DC. Based on the chatter, lots of corporate types, lobbyists, and advocates---so, well-educated professionals. Trump is done. The crazy train was mildly entertaining for a while, but nobody takes this seriously...except of course the lowest element of American society that desperately clings to their whiteness since it's all they really have. Those without intellect, financial stability and power are essentially left with nothing but their whiteness, and it breeds a special kind of xenophobic racism and hatred. And this will be the downfall of America unless we address poverty and income inequality: if the uneducated racists outnumber the rest of us, then we are all screwed. |
A plane bound for DC, assuming a good portion are residents, will pull to the left. |
The problem is that the more moderate Republicans in Congress (albeit that being a relative thing) are the ones most at risk and therefore any seats lost to Democrats only concentrates the power weilded by the take-no-prisoner zealots of the Freedom Caucus. Even a disastrous loss by Trump emboldens this faction who will claim that he wasn't a true conservative or Republican. If you think Congress is a disastrous shitshow right now just wait until January. |
Did you read the entire quote, in context? |
I cannot make sense of what you are trying to say. Try again. |
Continuing to insist that Trump voters are all uneducated racists is the divisiveness that will be the downfall of America. And news flash: income inequality is NOT the major issue, although liberals think so. The major issue is defending this nation from terrorists and enemies. (And I don't understand this income inequality anyway. Some people are just more motivated, capable, and/or intelligent and, while there are exceptions, will tend to earn higher incomes.) |
Yes, I did, and I also stated that the media and a lot of people won't focus on the rest of what she said. Look at the headlines in the news. They only quote "Clinton calls half of Trump supporters a basket of deplorables". A lot people don't bother to read the entire article; they like soundbites. That's why Trump has been so successful. He puts everything in a soundbite, no matter how complicated an issue. He speaks at a 4th grade level, and a lot of Americans like that. I just see a headline now that she regrets saying it. I'm glad she retracted because it was stupid to say such a thing. And let me just state how *strongly* I dislike Trump. I don't much like HRC, but I want her to win, very badly, because I fear a Trump presidency. I don't want her to make any stupid mistakes. |
Larry the Cable Guy has made a pretty good living making fun of white trash. As has Jeff Foxworthy. Ever heard of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour? |
NP. I agree that security is an issue, but there is a reason that the majority of the uneducated white men are voting for Trump, and it's not related to security issues. It's related to jobs. Why do you think Trump talks about bringing back manufacturing jobs, removing the restrictions on coal mining, fracking and oil drilling. So, yes, it is indirectly about income inequality. |
