The problem is that the more moderate Republicans in Congress (albeit that being a relative thing) are the ones most at risk and therefore any seats lost to Democrats only concentrates the power weilded by the take-no-prisoner zealots of the Freedom Caucus.  Even a disastrous loss by Trump emboldens this faction who will claim that he wasn't a true conservative or Republican.  If you think Congress is a disastrous shitshow right now just wait until January.  [/quote]
