Actually, you are incorrect. These things have always gone on, but secrets were easier to keep. Like who on the street is being beaten unconscious by their husband, and what poor black kid is being beat on by an impatient cop. Now, they are being caught and shamed. From the data I've seen, morals are actually improving in the country. I think when you say "the way things used to be", you mean "the days when it was easier to conceal bigotry, cruelty, adultery and ignorance, and thus ignore it"

What Josh and Anna need to do (because Lord knows she'll be sticking by his side) is to start using birth control and to use sex as something pleasurable between 2 adults. Not as something that is strictly for making babies. Josh needs to learn he can also get pleasure from his wife and he really needs to learn how to give her pleasure so she can enjoy it too.

Anna Duggar, a case study in why a woman needs a higher education. Not a SAHM vs WOH debate, but if she had a college degree and some work experience, she would have more options if she wanted to leave. She doesn't have the family money like Sanders wife did. I SAH but I have over a decade of work experience after getting my MBA/JD, if I needed to go back to work for whatever reason I feel like I would have some shot at being able to support myself and kids. Anna's situation is just so sad.

I grew up in a conservative environment-granted not this conservative, and yes I believe the flock will welcome her back. In my experience, this is exactly the type of situation that they would deem divorce is warranted.

Eh, if he believes that Satan made him do it that doesn't really shock me...that's the cult he was raised in and he probably believes that Satan is responsible for all bad things. At least he didn't ignore or deny the allegations; he responded pretty quickly and took responsibility for the most part.

Cosby on the other hand still denies any wrongdoing for drugging and raping countless women.

In Cosby vs. Duggar, Duggar wins. No clue what the prize is.
