Anonymous wrote:Jeff, I don't think you should be called a coward, but I just googled Muffy Aldrich and got more than 300,000 hits. And that is not following all the google suggestions... ie, fake, real name etc ect. I think you might want to keep this thread in case there is anyone out there who does not understand that once you have a blog with many many readers, there are going to be privacy issues...

It does make me wonder if it's a publicity stunt. I'd never heard of the blog, Googled it and saw that it wasn't anything that I'd follow since I don't . Then, I read a few more posts on this, and did the search about identity that a pp suggested. Well, the third Google result is a link to her site where she catalogs all of the Google searches under her blog name, so she's not shying away from it, and the post garnered more comments than her latest post. I just heard about Ryan Holiday's Trust Me I'm Lying, so I'm wondering how clueless I really am about publicity and truth online. Maybe Muffy is brilliant.

I think we have a WINNER!

I have to say this makes more and more sense ........

The thread contained much more then mere comments. There was an astonishing about of information about this couple. It is probably possible to make a convincing argument that the information had been gathered from public sources and wasn't a violation of privacy. I hear arguments every day that have legitimate points on both sides. You can't just call it a tie, you still have to make a decision. I made a decision and I stand by it. The OP of this thread can kiss my ass.

You're awesome, Jeff, and I respect how you are setting standards here to protect (innocent) people.

Even after reading this thread I couldn't care less about whether Muffy Aldrich is "authentic" or a fake.
