Exactly. Polls are a bit useless for many reasons.

Yes, and 15% of Dems thought he was born outside US in this poll.

This is not an indication that the poll is inaccurate. Remember the Hillary followers who formed PUMA? Plenty of them were birthers.

I find it very telling that one of the most active right-wingers on this website has posted that Obama is a traitor and none of the other right-wingers have objected. If you want to make us believe that there are non-crazy right-wingers, you should probably disassociate yourselves from the crazy ones.

I am not sure you understand statistics. 1000 participants gives a margin of error of 3.2 % and 10,000 participants gives a margin of error of 1%. Therefore saying a poll with "only" 1100 people is useless is incorrect.

Who cares about this meaningless little bitchfest between Jeff and some right wing asshole. I want to hear from Tea Partying birthers about Ted "Anchor Baby" Cruz! Where are you!

Birthers are a fringe element of the conservative movement, just like those on the left who think Bush and Cheney orchestrated 9/11.

What you are doing is equating all birthers with Tea Partiers and other conservatives. That's like saying that all liberals believe Bush and Cheney brought down' the towers.

Such as strange set of messages here at the end of this thread.

OK, not all Tea Partiers are birthers, but probably most birthers are Tea Partiers. And most Tea Partiers are ignorant.

You said you felt I felt he was a traitor. That doesn't MEAN I SAID he was a traitor.

OY.

I wish you were correct about this, but all evidence shows otherwise. For just one example (there are many others) a US News and World Report poll showed that 51 % of Republicans do not believe Obama was born in this country and 21 % are "unsure". Therefore 72% of Republicans are at least sympathetic to the birther movement. Judson Phillips, founder of Tea Party Nation who organized the 2010 Tea Part Convention is a noted birther. Sarah Palin was the keynote speaker at the convention. Is a party's nominee for Vice President a "fringe" member of the party or a leader of it? Sorry, Republicans. I know many of you are rational people, but the majority, not a fringe, of your GOP are not.

Liar, liar, pants on fire.

Let me refresh your memory:

If that is how you personally define the word traitor, then yep.

How does the Govt legally define traitor, that's the real question. Obama has said himself he wants to fundamentally transform America: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrefKCaV8m4

Can't do that and be loyal at the same time.

If you do not believe Obama is a traitor, there is nothing stopping you from typing "Obama is not a traitor". Though, I don't know how you would reconcile such a statement with your repeated accusation that Obama is not loyal to the US.

I asked you how you defined traitor

I read the questions on this poll. The citizenship question was leading--not direct.

Do you also want to know what the meaning of "is" is?

A traitor is a person who is not loyal to his country and who acts to hurt the interests of his country. Your accusation is that Obama wants to transform America is a manner which is not loyal. That is calling him a traitor. As I said, to clarify things, all you have to do is type "Obama is not a traitor". That's pretty easy to do. But, I guess harder to do while insisting that he is not loyal to America.

50% of tea partiers believe the President was born outside of the United States. Do we need to revisit the poll, only to have someone claim it must be biased, which will force me to post another two or three polls reaching the same conclusion?

Oh wow, well that justifies the entire birther movement.

In any case, since you are now backing the poll numbers you have conceded the point that the birthers are not a fringe group. Own it, Republicans!
