That's not really relevant. The tariff was still imposed (based on a lower price) and was paid to the US government. Whether the base for imposition was high or low is not relevant to determining whether or not an unlawful tariff was paid.

I don’t know what news you read, but that’s not the case. Some companies initially absorbed the tariff/taxes, but it led to profit loss. By and large, USA citizens have each paid about $1200 in tariff/taxes.

Not true. 10% for 150 days. Then that’s it. He can increase up to 15% if he feels like it, but it’s still over 153 days from this moment.
