Stay tuned for the onslaught of lawsuits (many already filed anticipating this decision) by businesses for refunds. Can we, as consumers, than request refunds as well?
What a mess? PS, for anyone who hasn't been paying attention, they have been destroying our economy. Job revisions for 2025 are horrible, we have been bleeding jobs. The latest GDP report, released today, was abysmal, while PCE inflation report ran hotter than expected. Of course now that prices go down with tariffs being removed, Trump will take the credit though it took the Supreme Court to save Trump from himself and his crappy policies.

I would hate to be a bottle of Heinz in the White House right now.
Not sure why it took so long, but it was the right decisions, and frankly, it should have been unanimous. |
| HALLELUJAH! , FINALLY. THE SC GREW A PAIR!!!! |
| Prices aren't going to go down. The corporations are just going to pocket the extra profit. |
| Who would have EVER have guessed that Alito, Thomas and Kavenaugh would dissent? |
They don’t want to lose money either |
| The government collected over 293 billion dollars from American citizens. How is that money returned to the consumers and companies like Costco that is suing the government which put the issue before the SCOTUS. |
| How are the foreign governments going to be reimbursed? |
Kavanaugh is a surprise. I thought it would be Gosuch that would align with the two legal axis of evil aka Alito and Thomas. |
They didn't pay. The American people and companies paid. |
|
It's a huge mess.
One reason for Kavanaugh's dissent, based on news reports, is that refunds will be next to impossible. That may be true, but it's not a reason to allow the admistration to flout the laws. |

Trump already ran up our debt in the past year, now we will have to repay the tariff costs and our debt will get even worse. Not to mention his unfunded tax cuts from his first term also exploded our debt.
Anyone who believes the GOP is the party of "fiscal responsibility" has their head up their butt. |
Easily, because they didn’t pay for the tariffs. We did. |
| Howard Lutnick's family made serious bank today. His sons run Cantor Fitzgerald and they bet big that the SC would rule that tariffs are illegal. |
Class action lawsuit, IMO |
