Can people confirm there were boos? I am watching on Peacock and couldn't hear them but it did seem like the crowd noise cut out several times and you could only hear the commentators, which I found suspicious because that didn't happen with other countries.

If NBC is concealing the boos for the American audience, that sucks. If it happened, people need to know.

There were definitely boos, and NBC cut away deliberately shortly after you started hearing them.

You can sort of tell from the faces of the athletes that the reception wasn't all good, but not all bad either.

Sabrina Impacciatore! She is great. Very well known in Italy before White Lotus. She's also on The Paper on NBC now. She has done tons of TV in Italy, including a lot of comedy. She's a great choice for this.
