Agree!

The Chinese one is unbeatable.

+1 I compare every opening ceremony to the Chinese one. And they all fall short.

Second best was James Bond meeting Queen Elizaeth at the Palace and taking her to London's Olympic Stadum by helicopter and their parachuting into the stadium from the helicopter. Of course, it was stunt doubles but we saw the build up on the screen and the parachuting in. The crowd was overwhelmed to see two British icons perform the stunt.

Who?

Are you referring to US Vice President James Bowman?

Is he related to former president Leslie Lynch King, Jr.

Or former president William Jefferson Blythe III

I am old enough to remember when Team USA weren’t Olympic villains.

Sigh. Vice President Bowman sucks the root.

They booed? How do you know if censored?

You can hear the boos on the CBC broadcast. I grew up in Michigan, and we often watched the Canadian broadcast because it showed a wider range of events (those where Americans weren't medal contenders).

London was a good 2nd place. Agree that Beijing was the one that set the bar.
