This has to be a troll, if this is true the county is more incompetent than I even thought.

Same pyramid and agreed. Our neighborhood is rough.

I drove around Woodson this evening.

Roads are fine over there.

Main street was fine, but there were parts of the parking lot across the street that were iced up.

Red Fox Forest is very shady, I suspect they most likely have ice. We’re in Somerset South and the sunny parts were clear, but the street you turn into from Braddock is quite shaded and that was all ice. And that’s where the busses come into and where the middle school bust stop is, at 7am.

Hi, neighbor! We are also in that neighborhood and agree that there are lots of icy patches. And it’s not going to melt overnight.

There aren’t going to be any condition changes between now and then.

We were driving around TJ plus local neighborhoods and they treated everything super well. My guess if they call 2 hour delay it'll be over the temps and busses starting. It was 19F when we got back.

My guess is no delay at this point. It wouldn't make sense to wait until 5 a.m. -- nothing between now and then is going to change.

Assuming the bus arrives on time (and thank goodness for the bus app to tell us if it is on time), my kid will be outside for no more than 2 minutes. It's fine. Your kids will be fine.

My kid has to walk a little to stop. I rather it be light outside so she can see the ice…which is everywhere in our neighborhood.

You never know with FCPS! Next thing you know they will make a call at 3 in the morning 🙄

Gee FCPS, can you make things anymore difficult for your families with young kids or your staff with long commutes?

Other school systems got this figured out.

Is there something wrong with you? This is a totally reasonable thing for the county to do. I have a job, too, but I recognize that not everyone's lives revolve around whether I can go into work late or not (I can't, and I have neighbors that I've already worked out arrangements with because they know my husband and I don't have flexible schedules. I suggest you do the same since you're so worked up about this.).

I just don't see all those buses starting on time.

Seriously, it's like you guys don't know how to deal with the teeny tiniest bit of ice. Did you grow up in like Florida? This is not unusual weather here, sweeties.

Are you the marketing guy who put that "2-hour" last time by mistake, and they demoted you to post here?
