I see lows around 20. They don’t delay unless it is single digits, maybe. |
We had some last year and Reid made it clear we aren’t delaying for that. |
| She’s the grinch. |
|
On time for sure on Monday.
Get those kids learning!!!! |
| Let’s wait to see what falls overnight |
Why? Like why do you need even more time off than what we have had and are about to get? |
| My app says 1.7 inches. If that comes true, I say on time Monday. They have all day tomorrow to clear. |
| On time. |
Agreed. Unless other parts of fairfax county look vastly different than my current view, even a delay would be ridiculous. |
Yep, at our house this is even less than we got for the 2 hour delay, when it was actively snowing. No delay tomorrow unless there's a lot of ice in other parts of the county. |
| We must have vastly different amounts of snow. I expect a cancellation tomorrow. The temperature is not getting above 32. We have one inch on the road and it’s slick underneath |
It’s 8am and only 1 inch. Why would they cancel tomorrow? That’s a day of way. Are you from here? This isn’t even a lot of snow for this area. |
Yeah the only way school is closed is because the snow is so little and instead of plowing the roads they let the neighborhoods and schools just melt |
|
It's not enough snow to plow, but "too much" to melt in 24 hrs before Monday especially since the temps hover at freezing at best and partly cloudy skies.
This is the neighborhood roads especially the ones deep into a subdivision that dont get significant numbers of cars driving over the snow (to melt it away), but still have bus stops and walkers. |
We have 0.5-1 inch on the grass, nothing on surfaces like our back patio or the roads. The only thing I could see is if the roads freeze from the melted snow since it started as rain and probably washed the pre-treatment off. |
