It's just annoying they expect us the commoners to interact with these people but refuse to be beat over the head with our Xenophobia. |
No one ever said that. |

WASHINGTON (AP) — The State Department said Wednesday it will suspend the processing of immigrant visas for citizens of 75 countries whose nationals are deemed likely to require public assistance while living in the United States.

| Any naturalized citizen who voted for this administration was super gullible. |

They distinguish between immigrants (who came after the country was developed) and settlers/settler-descended people, who "created" the US. Not sure why African-Americans are left out of group #2. (JK, I know why). |
Not a melting pot? Name a white person born after 1980 who can name the village in Europe that their ancestors came from or speak the language--or cares other than to say "I'm [whatever]" occasionally. Within two generations people absolutely assimilate, Hispanics and Asians do as well...except for Miami Cubans who think they are going back to reclaim their land. The grandkids of immigrants grow up speaking English and barely speaking the language from the old country, dropping strict religious adherence, wearing American clothes and consuming American media, and participating in American social and community traditions like Halloween and Christmas. They could not go back to wherever their grandparents are from and easily fit in because they are American, usually they even look different because of differences in diet and health, not to mention mixed marriages after a couple of generations. |
More common sense. Every day The Trump administration is halting immigrant visa processing for people from 75 countries, including Brazil, Iran, Russia and Somalia, the latest effort by officials to restrict legal immigration pathways. State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott said the indefinite pause aims to limit applicants deemed likely to become a “public charge,” a term for someone who relies on government benefits for their basic needs. The order takes effect Jan. 21, and a full list of the countries on the administration’s list has not been released. |
Most of Somalis are still on welfare after 10 years As if they are a good decision Insane |
yeah but they want to redefine legal migration to mostly mean white immigrants. |
You are insane if you believe this. Go read Project 2025. |
