| LOL at using Survivor, an artificially scripted and heavily edited game show where contestants are encouraged to connive and backstab, as an example of how men and women get things done in the real world. |
Soooo, you decided to quote a large chunk of Helen Andrews’ “Great Feminization” essay without attribution, and pass it off as your own comment. Not very honest or swashbuckling of you. |
There's even a theory that language evolved for gossip. True or not obviously it's fundamental to social structures male and female. |
LOL good catch. |

LOL. It's always the woman's fault, I guess.
Men can't hack it, so they need to blame women. This is like MAGA blaming immigrants for all their issues. Watch this video. Applies to these men blaming women for their woes. https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1300380.page |
I am a conservative woman- I was raised and live my life according to my cultural principles which were that I was educated, went to university, got married to a suitable person and stayed home to raise my kids. This doesn't affect my capacity to exist as a full person with suffrage, a drivers license and a bank account and private property and the right to determine my marital status without outside interference . If I was not allowed to to have my own money, bank account, credit score, legal status as a person then how am I any different then a woman in Taliban Run Afghanistan??? Going out and working is not the objective- having full legal status and economic privacy is the point and it the right choice and it is why my more traditional lifestyle is a full choice for me- it can't be a choice ion I dont have the above rights. |
| The pictures of these women are hilarious, considering all the growing conservatives do these days about how much “hotter” conservative women are. |
+1. I see exclusively women MDs on purpose. I’ve hit a couple duds, but the care is so much better. For example, they listen and don’t discount what I’m saying. They are more collaborative— willing to work with me to meet my health goals in a manner that works for me. I’m really sensitive to new medications and tend to have side effects. What are the alternatives to medication? Diet and exercise? Okay. And you can refer me to an dietician? That would be great. And an exercise goal of X. I can work on that. We’ll rerun the labs in there months and see if we need to reassess. Done. Women MDs have this conversation. Men want me to do what I’m told and take the pill. Which I might need to do. But would prefer not to if I can. Except my neurologist. I literally cannot find a female neurologist. |
| Women in the workplace is a way for the government to tax the same household twice. It also drove wages down when more women entered the workforce although that may have to do with sexism. When women started going to college in higher numbers than men, suddenly having a bachelors didn’t mean a great salary. |
+1 Be like this guy. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1GAB8gwp6a/ |
Bullshit. I worked for a dude who was so averse to conflict he wouldn't make critical decisions. Then the azzhat threw me under the bus. It was all about playing politics to maintain his position. |

Wages stagnated because the link between productivity and compensation was severed in the 1970s, so that economic gains flowed to corporate profits and top earners, not workers. Automation and globalization also contributed. It has nothing to do with women diluting the workforce. “Taxing the same household twice” is bad math. Wages get taxed no matter who makes them. In fact, with the same HHI divided between two incomes in lower tax brackets vs. one income in a higher bracket, a household would pay less. |
Yeah, we had that dynamic. For a while I used to do all kinds of things around the house. I realized my wife didn't care. In the middle of remodeling the bathroom, "But there are dishes to do, take my trash out." I think she realizes this was a mistake now, because I just quit doing those things. She also has very poor "house skills", like even making a bed or making sure the house has good towels or other home goods. She's realized how annoying that is also and has gotten somewhat better at that. She also realized she doesn't want a career and only works a part time job, mostly show she can nominally pay for preschool, so she doesn't have to watch the kids. This is annoying. I mean my income alone keeps in the middle class, but we could be doing much better, but now she expects me to run the kids around in addition to making my job much more of a priority. |
You do not understand our tax code. Please refrain from further comments regarding it because they’re stupid. |
