I haven't read the article. Obviously, women should be treated as equals, etc, but I think it is worth asking questions about whether many of feminism's achievements have actually improved things for women. Arguably, women now have to do everything a man has to do, in addition to everything that women do, and it doesn't seem like this is a good deal. Men are miserable, women report the lowest levels of happiness in decades, and yet we can't question whether this is all working for us.
I am a conservative woman- I was raised and live my life according to my cultural principles which were that I was educated, went to university, got married to a suitable person and stayed home to raise my kids. This doesn't affect my capacity to exist as a full person with suffrage, a drivers license and a bank account and private property and the right to determine my marital status without outside interference . If I was not allowed to to have my own money, bank account, credit score, legal status as a person then how am I any different then a woman in Taliban Run Afghanistan??? Going out and working is not the objective- having full legal status and economic privacy is the point and it the right choice and it is why my more traditional lifestyle is a full choice for me- it can't be a choice ion I dont have the above rights.
