But did you know that 85%-92% of "elite" school international student return back home, often to China? So we are allowing them to take 27-30% of spots at American universities and they take the education home to plot against us and engage in cyber espionage.

Why are you crying over this? Even the good, normal kids, generally go home - so what did we gain? A couple universities getting full fare from internationals? That is worth it to you to deprive American kids seats and not enrich the knowledge of our adversaries?

Learn the facts before being bleeding heart libs about letting foreign students take up so much space. Yeah, they are smart - America does a horrible job preparing many kids for stem - but you are sowing your own seeds of destruction.

Well said. Democrats showed us how their ultimate goal is to destroy America. Their biggest funder, Soros, bluntly said so.

Amazong how Soros is the bogeyman for the right, but you all fail to mentioned the 10:1 ratio of billionaires on the right trying to destroy America. Starting with Musk and Theil, the Devos and Prince families, Adelsons, Uhlines and so on.

They make up approximately 16% of the total enrollment at UC, according to the Public Policy Institute of California. This means that a considerable portion of the tuition paid by international students contributes to the UC system's overall funding.

International students are a crucial source of funding for UC, especially given that the system is facing financial pressures.

So many more universities are going to have funding issues. Americans fail to see how many international students are at out in-state schools as well.

Maybe California could do something crazy like take some of the billions of dollars they spend on illegal aliens and use that money to support universities which educate their own f’ing citizens. Naw, that would be too xenophobic, jingoistic, America-first-ic, patriotic, & commonsensical.

Democrats couldn’t destroy the country if they supported basic education for our children.

Agree. Harvard doesn’t need my tax dollars.

Your tax dollars are going to medical and scientific research the government contracted with Harvard to provide. You’re not just funding Harvard generally or paying student tuition costs. Please get a better understanding of the facts.

Again, such a wealthy institution like Harvard, should NOT be getting MY tax dollars.

I am definitely happy that my tax dollars AND yours are going to something that the entire nation and the world will benefit from.

How do you benefit from criminal Chinese nationals on our university campuses?

There are at least that 16% worth of California residents who are currently paying private school and OOS tuition in other states because they didn’t get into the UC system. I suspect a lot of them would be happy to pay OOS tuition to attend. Not to mention, if in state tuition isn’t sufficient, then raise it (or better yet, fire some of the useless administrators that have been added over the past 20 years).
