It is certainly not tier 1. As far as affluence, not aesthetic, yes, I will agree, it should be tier 2. It has gotten very expensive, more so, than places like Burke and Springfield. That is, if you can get a place there now for 800k, 80% of the time it’s a tear down - a house that is not updated and in need of major work |
Loudoun county is the wealthiest in VA.
|
South Arlington is basically the Silver Spring of NoVa. Lower mid-tier territory with a bit of charm and a lot of problems. |
You really don’t know much about Alexandria and that’s ok. Stay where you are. |
"the whole county" ![]() ![]() ![]() |
This ranking is about general affluence. South Arlington is far more expensive than Silver Springs. |
+1 |
This is why I keep coming to DCUM. pure unfiltered elitism, which you don’t see much in the wild in DC due to everybody being “lowkey” about money |
Get out, South Arlington is cruddy run-down apartments along Columbia Pike, crime at Pentagon City, and a lousy high school. |
There are very cute, wealthy, and nice areas in South Arlington. Certainly higher prices per sq foot than places farther out, anyway. |
Yes..for those of us that bought our primary home below our means..😁.. I saved the difference and invested it in a beach house in Rehoboth 18 yrs ago. Paid off nicely. |
I get it, but it’s still more wealthier than you can afford and that’s the beauty of it all. |
Yes the area is chock full of uneducated, poor, racist, rednecks and nothing else. Stay far away and please don’t try to verify your bias with primary source research. |
52% White here in Mount Vernon not on the waterfront. We scored pretty low. |
“More wealthier than you can afford” 🙄 If you’re going to be an elitist beyotch you cannot come across as this uneducated. |
