Mamdani supporter here. This was… not what I expected; I thought we might win a squeaker at best, now it sounds like Cuomo may not even contest the general because after this big a thrashing he doesn’t want to lose twice.

Anyway he’s a good guy, he’ll do NYC proud, and while I don’t think his *policies* will translate everywhere, I hope his campaign serves as a model for other Democrats because frankly they badly need one.

His policies won't even work in NYC. If he goes through with even half of what he promised, he'll be a disaster.

I think outsiders are reading too much into this. They see it as a choice between and a moderate and a progressive.

I think a moderate without all of Cuomo's baggage could have won. I don't think Cuomo lost because he was a moderate. I think he lost because he's viewed as immoral and corrupt.

Agree. will probably vote for Walden in the general. The republican is the guy with 17 cats ….. But mamdani will probably win. It’s gonna be rough.

Cuomo is immoral and corrupt. There’s a point at which you can’t simply vote for policies.
