Since U13 we have first teams at MLSN1, and now second teams will join MLSN2.

MLS2 will play HS soccer, so it needs to stay in SY to reduce the trap. If MLS is BY, then it is a mess. I can't figure out a good reason for MLS to have two separate systems.
Teams definitely will want to convince current customers that their league won't change while angling the team towards the change with new customers for F2026.

So our CEO lied?

When a small local non-profit youth soccer team uses the moniker CEO, it makes it too obvious that money means more than the kids. They should hide it better.

I wish more people understood that "non profit" isn't some hippie utopia where businesses aren't trying to make money. All it means is that the business isn't paying taxes and all the money that normally would be considered "profit" is paid to the employees. Also typically the extra money doesn't trickle down to the regular people it stays at the top with execs (or club owners) paying themselves massive (way more than normal) salaries.

Anything other than Rec soccer shouldn’t qualify for non profit status. It’s grossly abused. I’ve seen 6 figure payments to LLC owned by club director as a way to get around the salary issue. Licenses for club name and slogans for 6 figures per year… GTFO here.

I'm confused
SY age cutoff won't have kids 11 months younger than the oldest in each age group?

It is just hard to imagine MLS will keep BY for MLSN and SY for MLS2, esp. they try to copy ECNL NL and RL system, which you can move players around.

Your question isn't related to the PP, did you pick the wrong comment to respond?

Why would MLSN want to copy ECNL the lower league?

Also, where is it announced by MLSN and the MLSN2 administrators for the different regions that SY is happening?

💯

PP has no idea what’s going on between MLSN and ECNL. MLS is not worried about ECNL, ECNL’s boys side is getting eaten alive by MLSN. And MLSN is about to start comh for the girls side

ECNL is going to get crushed when colleges start dropping their soccer programs due to money.

I think the amount of DMV changes clouded a lot of people's minds here. There is no national shift, just sorting out the stupid failed alliances here.

Let me guess you are a BY parent…upset about the age change because your kid will no longer be the oldest…
