It’s amazing how many treasonous traitors there are and even more incredulous that they’re all in charge now. The worst is how so many people support them because they are traitors themselves too. |
Get behind? Isn't it just one vaccine? |
It’s now recommended that people born in the 50s and 60s who were vaccinated get a booster. Actual dates are earlier in the thread. |
Yes, if people don't get vaxxed, they should be ineligible for any insurance coverage. They're too much of a risk from communicable diseases in hospitals, schools, and doctor's offices. Sure, you can have the freedom not to vax. No one said you had an inalienable right to force a risk pool to cover your stupid choice though. |
Except measles can hide inside your brain, moron. If it does and come back when you're an adult, it is basically 100% fatal. You are so stupid and don't even know it. Getti measles is never good and never just a case of a rash an unpleasantness. It can kill you years later with horrific neurodegeneration. |
Kentucky confirms measles exposure at Planet Fitness in Frankfort.
An infected adult who recently traveled to a measles outbreak area visited the gym while contagious. Measles will run roughshod through red areas where unvaccinated idiots rule the roost. |
PP. I’ve had that glass of wine. If you are curious about your measles status, you can get a titer drawn, as several PP’s have noted already. A titer was mandatory when I was in med school, and out of a class of 150+, we all passed, thanks to MMR. Measles is the overachiever when it comes to Hollywood style infectiousness. The R0, or R not, is a measure of infectiousness, and tells you how many community infections will result from a single case. The common cold R0 is 2-3. Flu is 1-2. Covid is 2-4. Measles is 12-18. Norovirus is only around 3-4 or so, so that should tell you something about the contagious power of measles. The only other disease that comes close is pertussis, or whooping cough, and no surprise, that is also starting to come back. Now that the cdc is being muzzled, it is up to our excellent and hardworking local health departments of towns, counties, and states to pick up the slack. Thank you to all of them. |
Remember when we were all scared that COVID virus could live on surfaces and we disinfected our groceries and wore gloves everywhere? Well, we found out it couldn't live on surfaces (or not for long enough to really be a risk) and then we felt sort of silly. Guess what virus can live on surfaces and in the air for two hours? Sigh, this is going to be a wild ride. |
It’s “r naught,” Doc. |
This. Make sure your household is up to date on measles vaccines everybody.. |
I got a booster today, mostly due to mumps risk which waves in most people by adulthood. While I was waiting, I saw the news story about vax-resistant parents dragging their unvaccinated children in for vaccines. These diseases are frightening. It’s a terrible shame to let innocent children suffer. |
I can’t get a MMR booster, and relying on those around me to be vaxxed is terrifying. |
In any other normal administration, the HHS secretary would have used this opportunity to stress that we have a safe and effective vaccine for measles and urge Americans to vaccinate. It boggles the mind that this ahole is like “totes normal, bygones” in addition to getting the basic information wrong. Almost makes me want to use the R word that the right wingers love so much. |
Watch MAGA be proud when their skin is covered in a bright red rash, look it matches their hat! |
This is sad. At the same time, this is what the parents wanted to have happen since they did not vaccinate their child.
They will probably say it was God's will. But God gave humans brains to invent and use vaccinations. Why they won't use the brain God gave them is the real question. |
