Source for this claim about vitamin A overdoses? What were their symptoms? I’ve been giving my kids vitamin A since they were all toddlers and never had any issues. |
What can you/we do to help others understand about measles?
Dr.Josh Green, Gov of Hawaii and former ER doctor.: America’s children are in danger. Measles outbreaks are spreading in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and beyond, threatening lives, overwhelming health-care resources and exposing vulnerable communities. Texas alone has confirmed more than 400 measles cases and the death of the first child from measles in our country in more than a decade: the heartbreaking loss of a school-age child in Gaines County. The outbreaks continue to spread, gaining momentum and posing a threat to children across our country — with one public health official in Texas fearing that the outbreak there could last an entire year. |
DP... its amazing how many people come here and post who don't know how to find basic information. https://www.forbes.com/sites/brucelee/2025/04/05/multiple-texas-children-with-vitamin-a-toxicity-from-use-vs-measles/ |
“ Multiple children in West Texas have been treated for vitamin A toxicity stemming from at-home attempts to treat measles, hospital officials have confirmed. Covenant Children's Hospital declined Friday afternoon to say how many patients in Lubbock have been treated for vitamin A toxicity, but confirmed there have been "fewer than 10 cases." https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/health/2025/04/04/texas-vitamin-a-toxicity-measles-patients/82871895007/ |
What a vile and hateful thing to say. I honestly hope you’re a troll. Your hate over what you believe to be the boogeyman has made the left the party of hate. |
Josh Green tried in vain to stop a measles outbreak in Samoa in 2019. Guess who was partially culpable for that outbreak? None other than RFK Jr. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/01/28/us/politics/measles-rfk-jr.html?unlocked_article_code=1.9k4.Xi09.II5ldCa4dY0E&smid=url-share |

Wait...what? Do you live in an area with VAD? Because if not, why on earth would you be supplementing vitamin A ? I mean, that's kind of crazy. ... |
Yeah, I think Trump is evil and Kennedy is a fool, but I wouldn't wish disease on any of their supporters. That's just unkind. We don't have to say cruel things. The current admins policies are horrible enough |
You never give Vitamin A as a lone supplement, OP. We get enough in our normal diets, or alternatively in some multivitamins, in which you'll notice vit A is never given in large doses. Ingesting too much is toxic. Your kids could have liver damage, and you wouldn't know it if you didn't specifically check for liver enzymes. Foolish, foolish, person. |
