Parents should be prosecuted. |
I hope they didn’t infect other vulnerable kids |
For context regarding measles in the US prior to this child's death:
"In 2000, measles was declared eliminated in the U.S. But as vaccination rates have dropped, cases have reappeared. The United States' last death, in 2015, was of a woman in Washington state. Before then, there hadn't been a death since 2003, the CDC said." |
While it is tragic that a young life was lost but you can't reason with these parents, they think they know everything and Trump and Kennedy are the second coming of Christ. Just look out for your family, these people don't want any help. |
Winning! |
Are we great yet? |
That is a significant danger since young young children cannot get the vaccination. The young ones are dependent on herd immunity and there is no more respect for herd immunity in this country. |
I’m sorry that happened. But not basing puts your d at risk, as well s vulnerable people who cannot vaxx. Maybe we need this to happen to remind people why vaccinations were so effective in cutting the childhood mortality rate. |
School-aged kid, so unlikely. |
As an older adult do I need to get a booster for measles? Is there a booster? |
RFK Jr said this isn't rare.
Uh, yes, in the United States, it was nonexistent. Morons. |
The rec is you were born before '57 and '68, you should get the booster. There are a number of docs on social media reccing this. |
