Trump declared himself dictator.

We need job cuts numbering in the many hundreds of thousands from Education, Energy, HUD, DOD, USAG, FBI, CIA, HHS. I dont even thing he is at 75,000 yet which is slow. I dont know why they did not follow Vivek's approach of just firing every person with an even last number in their ssn. The pace needs to pick up considerably or this will be one more empty promise of cost cutting.

Civilian discretionary programs make up a tiny percentage of federal spending. Most government spending is on Medicare, Social Security and Medicaid. Spending on research, for example, is less than 2 percent of the budget.

Cutting the social services programs might be evil but wouldn’t be stupid. Focusing on civilian discretionary programs is stupid.

More people need to wake up. If they had their eyes wide open they'd be shaking with you.

What corruption related to Democrats?

Even if there was corruption, what was the impact?

How could anything Hunter Biden have done compare with Trump just giving all of our military and intelligence secrets to Putin?

The big problem is just that Democrats are kind and don’t want to make cruel choices about spending. But that’s not because of corruption. That’s because it’s hard to tell older people that their Social Security checks will be smaller and they’ll get fewer MRIs and CT scans.

I think that is true, to a degree. I know a lot of people who voted for Trump who aren't MAGA, including myself. I find MAGAs disgusting.

Um? What?

So you think you voted for trump but not MAGA

So you voted for Trump knowing he was going to be a dictator on day one, and you claim to despise the MAGAs? I don't get it.

Why do you think because I despise MAGA that I love the left? They're worse.

is the “left” trying to burn down democracy?

They're doing nothing to prevent it, but ignoring demands from voters to execute the basic and Constitutional functions of the federal government.

But by engaging in lawfare against a man we all knew was popular with energetic voters who believed Trump was being treated unfairly, the left used their power to get this man elected. The left has obviously learned nothing from history.

Don’t blame Trump on the Dems. MAGAs, including the ones who won’t admit they are MAGA, are 100% responsible for this shtshow.

Yup a vote for trump was a vote for hatred and destruction PERIOD!

Thank you. Let’s get back to the main thread topic. Trump’s tweet sounds like he’s getting ready to do something insanely illegal. It’s also a dogwhistle to his supporters that they can commit violence with impunity as long as it can be justified with “saving the country”.

Fine with it as long as we accept that the quote applies equally to everyone.

A lot of people think that Luigi was (is?) helping to save the country.

The end justifying the means would be a real game changer for The People moving forward.

That is not going to happen. There has been zero indication. He has not made one indication of eliminating the Civil Rights Act. If the left could just admit what happened--it got way too extreme (and per the previous poster, it was not kind, not in any way), and this is the consequence of that. The man has daughters and a female chief of staff. He understands powerful women and has nothing against them. Is he creepy and possibly an assaulter? Unfortunately, it looks like that. I hate the man and what is happening. It's just so frustrating that we are going through so much pain and nobody will take responsibility and take steps to prevent it from happening again.

There is absolutely nothing kind about the extremist trans movement. It is hardcore and is what got us here. It should have been reigned in. I mean the physical threats, nastiness? It is not kind to women.

The man says anything he does is lawful. By definition. You have no idea what he will come for next.

By rights, it should apply to everyone equally (or no one at all), but Trump thinks he is the country and vice versa. Next he’ll be tweeting “L’etat, c’est moi”.
