Trump declared himself dictator.

The current president has stated the law does not apply to him. This is happening now. In America. Anyone who loves America should be appalled.

Because Trumpublicans can't take responsibility for anything, ever. They are toddlers. They have no agency, they are victims of everything. 8-16 years later still blaming Obama for their oen failures.

When was the last time a vice president was ever treated as incompetent and unqualified for president? When was the last time any senator, lawyer and prosecutor who was vice president was said to be “unqualified.”?

And the very same people levying this criticism voted for presidents in the past with a shorter and less impressive CV.

What could possibly be different about THIS candidate????? Real head scratcher.

It’s happened 8 times where the VP did not get the nomination to be the next President. The candidate is chosen by the Primaries. Please show me what primaries she won….

If Biden dropped out and She had to do it the same way as in the past, do you think she would have wine the primary and been the candidate?

Maybe the difference about THIS candidate is the way it was done. If it MUST be Race and Sex, Mike Pence and Dan Quayle would like an explanation.

Oh, so are they doing this to commemorate it forever?

I guess we’re all supposed to be having a big sad that a low information identity politics troll voted for Trump, but…that’s pretty much expected. In other news, water is wet.

Here are actions you can take:
https://indivisible.org/coup
5calls.org

Call EVERY SINGLE DAY. call both DC offices and local. If DC res, call Schumer and tell Norton to pass message on to peers.

Don’t fall into the cynical trap that “nothing matters”. It matters. It takes one minute per call. There’s ZERO excuse for not doing this. You don’t get to b itch and moan or curl up in a ball and cry. No one’s asking you to walk over the bridge in Selma and get clubbed by cops. I’m just asking you to pick up the GD phone.

And if you really want to have an impact, volunteer for one of the special elections in Florida or soon to be New York. And again, don’t give me “This seat is impossible to flip” Nothing is impossible, nothing..

Most of us are busy working and don’t have the time for this BS. Maybe if you did the same, you’d be in a better place.

I call on my commute. What’s your excuse?

Come on people. Do not engage with posters who are trying to deflect by making this about Kamala. Let’s stay on topic. This is about Trump quoting an emperor, after spending the last three weeks trying to be one.

Thank you. Let’s get back to the main thread topic. Trump’s tweet sounds like he’s getting ready to do something insanely illegal. It’s also a dogwhistle to his supporters that they can commit violence with impunity as long as it can be justified with “saving the country”.

I think that is true, to a degree. I know a lot of people who voted for Trump who aren't MAGA, including myself. I find MAGAs disgusting.

You basically were a MAGA vote. Way to help usher this in …total lack of foresight.

I dont care what Trump says- I care only about what he does. You have to take him figuratively not literally. I'm delighted with the cuts, but I wish they were even more rapid. We need job cuts numbering in the many hundreds of thousands from Education, Energy, HUD, DOD, USAG, FBI, CIA, HHS. I dont even thing he is at 75,000 yet which is slow. I dont know why they did not follow Vivek's approach of just firing every person with an even last number in their ssn. The pace needs to pick up considerably or this will be one more empty promise of cost cutting.

How have you managed to escape natural selection and continue to be alive. Geezus.

Because you aren’t accepting answers. Why bother?

My issue with the continued refrain: You voted for this, is that those of you refuse to acknowledge why so many people did. I voted for Kamala but I did so only because I promised my daughter I would. I am shocked and horrified about what is happening now but am equally dismayed that those on the left still don't understand. We were living under a shadow government and it had to be stopped. The corruption was undeniable. Nobody knows who was running the government, and women were being erased. The fact is, and I really believe this, the extreme trans movement is probably what tipped the scales.

The same people who complain about Harris not going through the primaries are also perfectly fine with an unelected billionaire getting access to all our personal information through the Treasury Department.
