Congrats Got into Va Tech? Sorry what is Va public? |
I’m the PP. I hope she has a school that she can visit and get excited about in the coming weeks. Any other RDs in the pipeline? JMU for business? |

Good grief, troll harder. From last year, 47,301 applied and 27,000 were accepted. DP |
Link or citation, please? This doesn't sound correct. |
DP. I highly doubt the $45k claim is true.

Hmm, what do you think?? A reddit poster, lying? How could this be? C'mon, people. Use your brains and ask for an actual citation. |
You are correct. They even state on their website that they do not yield protect. |
|
4.2 and did not submit SAT? What was it? SMH |
wrong. 57k applied and 28k got offers. They have a yield rate of 25% |
My son wasn’t offered honors initially but was pulled before his freshman year even started by his major to an invite only math honors class. It’s a class that even official “honors” kids must be invited to. Very similar to your daughter in math plus an 800 SAT. He was then offered honors after 1st semester and looked into it and didn’t actually see any value in it. Just more work. |

Same. Waitlisted at Tech and deferred ED at UVA. My son is devastated. But there's still a chance, right? Coming from a DC private 4.2 GPA 33 ACT 13 APS Took Calc BC as a Junior. Is taking Linear Algebra and Multivariate CALC as a senior. AP Phyics, AP Econ, AP Spanish, Varsity athlete- Captain Manages a summer pool NHS and tutors Spanish/Math My son is deflated. 2 univ's reached out to say how much they loved his essay (where he was accepted). I know this will all work out in the end but it's hard. |
