This.

I’m reminded of W exhorting everyone to shop as a patriotic duty after 9/11. Notwithstanding MAGAs desperation to disparage the effort, it does make a difference.

People in my area (I moved away from DC a few years ago) and preparing to do this boycott for his entire presidency. They plan to go as long as possible without buying anything, and if they need an essential going local, preferably to a minority owned establishment, women owned establishment, and lastly a left leaning establishment. Money talks...

The point of the blackout is to divest from those who support Trump/MAGA, not to bring back 2015-style identity politics.

Because no one in the entire history of the world was fired from a job. You are so special, so unique, of course you are terrified. Those wusses who saw their children blown apartment by an IEP or their house leveled by a fire or flood have no patch on the true terror in which you live.

As a COO, what the feds are doing is outrageous. This is not how you fire people.

What are you talking about. Companies these days just cut off your computer access from your basement and send you an email with the news.

Let’s do that with Medicare and Social Security workers then. Cut them off the computers, no more work for you and with that, no checks for the elderly. Too bad, so sad. Medicare? You should have taken better care of yourself. Pray hard.

You don't know the point of this. People can do this the way they think best.

NP. Please explain the point of this...because I hate Trump too but you lost me as soon as PP said "...and lastly a left-leaning establishment". What exactly does that mean?

I run a daycare and of my clients didn’t want to pay me today because of the blackout. I was blown away. I told her that I watched her child all week and tuition was due or her child was not welcome next week.

DP. Presumably, an establishment that is more closely aligned with their beliefs. Left leaning would be progressive, believing that healthcare is a right not a privilege, a social safety net is essential, we must look out for the least of us, and that a rising tide lifts all boats.

For my part, I'm planning to buy the essentials, but none of the 'good to have' items I would otherwise be considering.

Can you hold out until 2/30 or 2/31? Be strong.

Your client should have followed the sensible advice to pay bills/invoices due on the 28th a day early.

She should have. She even tried making seem like a good thing. Rah Rah! We are protesting! I'm sure her paycheck was not held up, I don't know why she thought it was acceptable to do it to me. She paid.

Sounds like you’re on a roll! Maybe you should buy yourself a few Teslas too.

Judging by the consumer spending report today, the boycott is in full swing. Love this for Trump.
