I have two little kids and was remote since 2018 with exceeds with distinction ratings …they’re cancelling my agreement so what can I do to fight and not be a weakling? I get the feeling but this is stupid they came for my job and now I have to find another no matter how angry I am

If the congress cuts the budget (and I think they will for many agencies), then the agencies will have to cut people depending on the size of budegt cut. For many agencies, there won’t be enough money to pay the salary.

When my agency started creating DEI positions in 2021, I assumed they would go away in the next GOP administration, which I assumed would be DeSantis. +1. DEI literally promotes discrimination. You can't promote race and gender based discrimination and expect it to be a long term gig. Come on now. The courts have been clear that it's illegal to discriminate against anyone for race or gender, and that these protections are not only for minorities. It's literally in the constitution that we are all equal.

All of this "it's only one group being targeted" or "I planned better!" has some serious "surely, the leopard won't eat MY face" energy.

If you're not into DEI either, I'm not sure why you're taking any issue with my statements. The reality is, most of the American public isn't into it, and the courts haven't supported it. It's a movement that overplayed its hand and is experiencing a completely predictable backlash.

Do you think federal workers invented DEI? They did the job they were told to. They would have stopped when told, there was no need to fire them. (No, it's not a RIF because RIFs have a process for moving to other jobs.)
