For a couple weeks, then they will get let go. These are American jobs and you are mocking them?! Where is your humanity?

Still reeling from having DEI shoved down my throat for the past four years. Could given f s about leftist federal workers. You destroyed this country.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Who's suprised Trump is taking drastic action when people were blatantly ignoring his lawful orders during his last Presidency?

Example of people ignoring lawful orders?

Most of us are going to get fired by Trump and Muskrat anyhow, so why comply?

I’m at Treasury and definitely getting wiped out.

I am not looking for a pep talk. I don't need comforting. I know how to search for and apply for jobs. My point is there people should stop being concerned with RTO and take steps to see that the the govt doesn't engage in illegal actions in hiring and firing in the near future.

I am not a fed but this is what I was pointing out to people. RTO is a first world problem. Losing funding for programs which feed and medicate and stabilize countries is a BFD.

I’m not interested in helping one foreign country if they are anti American. Not one. They need to sit down and say thank you.

Providing help is how we make them PRO American. See how that works?

How's that getting paid for? I'd be tempted if I thought they'd actually pay out, but I'm worried they'd renege.

At google pre-2020 employees bought RVs and Mobile homes they kept on street near office and used them as Pied a Tiers as San Fran so expensive. When there is a will there is a way.

My old job in DC I actually had indoor underground parking and building had public bathrooms and a small gym with a shower. Even a Cafeteria.

A beat up VW camper bus could fit in garage as we had high ceilings a person could easily just stay in building during week for free.

Orders have to be issued through the chain of command..Trump didn't bother to do transition teams, so there is no functioning chain of command at many agencies right now.

I still don't know who is in charge at my agency, no one has told us yet. So which orders am I not following, if there is no one around to issue orders?

That’s Trump and Musks whole thing — say they will pay for a thing and then don’t. It’s what Musk did at Twitter.

Sure take a buyout and then enter a lawsuit for 8 years to wait for the actual payout.

So what happens to the non-politicals who were fired? Do those USAID people get severance or were they supposedly fired for cause?

It’s pretty obvious that Trump isn’t going to follow due process and is just going to fire whoever. They can try to sue but that will take years.

I hate this.

Great. When the federal government pays Bay Area tech company prices I’ll buy an RV.

But as of now I couldn’t even afford one on my GS level salary. The taxpayers need to pony up if they want people to treat these jobs like FAANG.

Federal workers have a bad reputation in the private sector. I fear many private companies won’t rush to hire them.
