When my agency started creating DEI positions in 2021, I assumed they would go away in the next GOP administration, which I assumed would be DeSantis. The courts have been clear that it's illegal to discriminate against anyone for race or gender, and that these protections are not only for minorities. It's literally in the constitution that we are all equal.

I’m not worried either. I bring value to the table, and if they don’t want it, I’ll be fine in corporate or I will figure something else out. I believe in what I do for the good of the public, if the new leadership doesn’t (and I can’t say whether they do or not yet) I am not sure I want to stay around anyway. To the poster above, the private sector and other countries will step in where the U.S. exits. Your career isn’t over. It’s just different.

I’m so sorry PP. it’s awful. People don’t realise the work being done and see this as the US giving money away. It’s tragic.

Bloomberg is now donating to the Paris Accord. I hope one of the billionaires step in and do what is right to keep programs going.
