| No DEI people are being fired. They just moved them into EEO jobs. |
There is a hiring freeze. |
| See new memo! |
It’s only a matter of time until the leopard eats that poster’s face, PP. All these people crowing now about the suffering of others, they think they and theirs will be spared. But they won’t be. They are just to stupid to see it. |
+1 No one is taking this seriously. |
| Trump just fired 12 IGs. It’s crazy town. |
No. He prevented the agency from reclassifying their work. If they were hired exclusively for DEI, they are gone. |
| All feds are in the crosshairs. |
Truly go screw off MAGA bootlicker. |
| I'm absolutely worried about my job and not RTO. White collar job market is not doing well right now. |

In case you missed it in all the other news, all of USAID programs have a stop work order, with a few exceptions. The horrible thing is the work stops - no training midwives to respond to women hemorrhaging in childbirth, no rabies vaccination campaign, no Malaria bednet distribution. People will die.
But in addition, all of the thousands of us who implement this work just had our jobs…what? Frozen? Ended? If there is no money our NGOs can’t pay us. This isn’t the for-profit sector. There are no reserves or profit to keep people on for two weeks, let alone the three months given for this spending freeze. I think the Trump administration just drove a stake through the heart of international public health and development, which of course was the point. My career of over 20 years may be over. |
Keep up. They got fired. |
They were fired too? I didn’t see that. All these people have civil service protections. These firings are clearly illegal. |
|
I’m so sorry, it’s been a shock of a week. And it won’t just be feds. With the new situation at NiH, it will spread to academia, universities, etc and many more people will lose their jobs. A recession is ahead. Plan now for how to get through the next few years.
What a mess. |
No one will hold him accountable if there is no one to do so. |
