Sure. I was responding to a poster who said that since custodians are being called in, it must indicate that there would NOT be a delay. My point was to refute that connection. Cleared sidewalks doesn’t necessarily mean an on-time opening. |
Haha yes I think we can all get to school on time. 2 hour delays cause so much disruption and increase attendance problems. |
Feel free to check the temperatures for today in Philly. It was in the 30s all day. That’s quite different from the temperatures in the single digits and teens that will be here Tuesday. |
It wasn't all snow. There is also ice. |
Should we move on to the 70,000+ people sitting in Buffalo currently who will be there until it’s well below 20 degrees. Help tell us how that’s different too. People here are so ridiculous. |
We get it. You’re a wimp. Keep your kids home if you think it’s too cold. Let those who dare brave the tundra go. |
I didn’t use the Buffalo example because you know the argument is they have clothes for it 😂. |
Yep. I grew up there and like everywhere as a teenager I walked around hatless and under dressed. My hair froze all the time. Did my parents even notice. Hmm. |
The messaging this generation gets is nuts. Everything is unsafe or they need to be protected. No wonder they are all hot messes. Zero resilience. |
You all are just bitter bc you know it’s going to happen - prepare for 2 hr delays! Woohoo! My kid gets to sleep in! |
Name calling? Stay klassy, PP. |
In my K-12 experience had one day off due to cold. Air temperature 15 below with a wind chill of 30 below.
Kids today are coddled and never develop resilience. Truly a sad situation. |
Bless your heart if you think this is name calling. Coddled millennial |
Dramatic or no, they closed the schools for cold in the recent past and likely will again. |
Any predictions for evening activities on school grounds tomorrow? |
