Praying for more snow and closures!!!! |
They did but it was either 2013-2014 so you missed it. We had a polar vortex with sub zero temps and wind and the buses couldn’t start in those temps, nor did they want kids out in it . |
I predict closed Tues/Wed, open late Thursday if no snow day prior. Assuming Thurs afternoon little warmer. Might snow Wed or Friday |
I remember this. They could not get the busses started for 2 days. And it was NOT just FCPS, it was every district that were experiencing the extreme cold. Temps were in single digits with negative wind chills. Our buses are built(engines) differently than those in Northern US. |
This. No way they go on Tuesday. |
You can stop with this....you did this in snow day too. For snow and weather they can get an exemption. It is what it is. |
Mine does for Chantilly |
yes 2018....it was like negative wind chill numbers or something. We had snow that year too and we all survived it |
It seems like we’re going to get some amount of snow on Sunday, but the European models, which have been the most accurate historically, are calling for only 1-2”. And with everything being closed Monday for the holiday, if it really is 1-2” that’s not very impactful. I can’t remember if we closed or delayed or nothing at all for the last polar vortex in 2018. |
I don't wish for snow days but I also understand and I'm ok with why counties close for weather? It happens and you all are not the first generation to experience this. If the roads are dangerous your kids arent' going to school. why are mothers tantruming over this every snow storm? |
Three people have already said we did miss school for wind chill factors. The impact/closures will be based on roads and plowing situations. |
That's ridiculous. |
Not the PP but not ridiculous at all. America voted in a convicted felon, rapist and insurrectionist. Enjoy the snow next week! |
Mourning party |
Me too! |
