It’s y’all, and we’re not leaving the school we’ve attended for more than a decade because a few undesirable families show up. We will quietly tolerate them for a few years until they go away like they did the last time.

i went though this with a grandchild of trump. memory is a bit hazy but from what i remember this is treated as a confidentiality and security issue. they will say nothing to prospective families and make somewhat oblique references to current parents. our school did invite us to raise questions on a one on one basis with administration but even when i did that i don’t recall learning anything super specific.

in all honesty, SS officers assigned to kids’ details are AMAZING and it really was not a “nightmare” at all.

I taught at a summer camp when I was in my 20s with a presidential grandchild. We rotated classes like regular school with periods. The SS agent was stationed outside my classroom. You wouldn't have even know they were there. I am guessing we were probably introduced, and I was briefed, but I can't officially remember if we were introduced. The kid was about 8 or 9 and they had a healthy attaachment to the agent. Once they felt sick or sad or something and asked to go see him, and it was pretty sweet. No impact, the other kids didn't even know, unless they were really observant. I would imagine actual children or older children might be dialed up a bit because of a few more agents or peer awareness, but really, they do a good job staying out of the way.

My kid went to a few soccer camps that Barron attended and my kids’ private school is in the sports league with Sidwell so there was some overlap with Obama girls (I have more than 1 kid).

People making claims on here that SS “perimeters” and motorcades for presidential kids are lying. For the camps, Barron had one secret service vehicle (a suburban) that just waited for him during the entire camp (they don’t drop off). The agent was not sitting next to him or following him around. If the kid wasn’t so tall, you might not even have known which one he was. He would leave a few minutes early every day to leave first. He was few to talk and mine with all the other kids. That’s it. It was NBD.

As for sports games against Sidwell when they were visiting us the one of the Obama girls was on the team, again it was the same thing. They had one detail (maybe 2
-3 agents? A driver and then a few others). No motorcade. The parents didn’t come, I assume if first lady or president comes there will be more. But for day to day regular stuff, you wouldn’t know.

These are the VPs kids. Even the VP him/herself gets a small little motorcade and not the big deal as the actual president. All of you need to calm down.

Please name them. I assume Blessed Sacrament but what other one?

His wife visited Blessed Sacrament which makes sense since she clerked for Kavanaugh.

Why is anyone surprised? They are Catholic!

I went to NCS with the Gore daughters (one was in my grade) and there were never any details or SS agents. The only time we had agents onsite was during Operation Desert Storm, for Sec of State Baker’s daughter and VP Quayle’s daughter. But that was heightened alert for the Gulf War.

I think I was the motorcade poster. It definitely was an issue when the Obama girls had games up at SR and other schools along that corridor, as their dad really liked to attend their games and it really snarled traffic. I had a friend whose kid was in Baarron’s class and she said his parents basically never went to school functions, so it seemed like it was a non-issue. My guess is that the Vances are involved parents and there are often a lot of things for younger kids for parents to attend.

It’s a Catholic school. Why would they hate him?

Really? What do you think his young children will do that warrants you pulling your kids?

What sins?

Dems are so openminded & inclusive.

Yes, they happily welcome people trying to harm women and our country into their lives.

How is he trying to harm women?

Based on these comments I’m having a hard time believing it’s actually Catholic.

Given that the regular school starts at age 3 it doesn't seem impossible.

I'm still guessing they are looking for both the younger kids, and are considering Mater Dei for the oldest.

Am I mistaken that SR is in Bethesda and the Vances live in Del Ray? That’s an awful commute. Is there any speculation they would move? Maybe this wasn’t a perspective family tour?

Oh! So stupid it hurts!

This thread is nauseating. It’s beginning to make me despise private schools and Limousine Liberals.
