This is why liberals lost the election.

open hate towards others who disagree with them.

They’re coming from Del Ray. They’re used to people hating them.

I hear that phrase multiple times a day “this is why you lost the election [insert meaningless trope here]”. I haven’t spent the last 4 years lecturing Trumpers about their 2020 loss due to being racist and sexist but sure go ahead and tell me how to be a winner like yourselves.

You think he cares
You think they won’t take him

OMG people are so stupid

It’s horrific for the other families he won’t give a crap

I don’t like Vance’s politics, but I’m fine with his family coming to my school. I would be more upset if they let in a lot of families who didn’t use any punctuation. SR takes a strong stand on the use of correct grammar and strong persuasive writing, hopefully we can share that value with the Vance family.

Lookit all the liberals encouraging their children to judge and hate other people's children and their parents.

I think I finally cannot stand liberals.

Isn't Stone Ridge a faith based school?

Should not all be welcomed with opened arms here?

Did you like liberals up until you read this anonymous thread on a message board? “Lookit” you, making no sense again.

It’s a faith based school but admissions are fairly selective, like most private schools not everyone gets in.

"My" school? What grade are you in, PP? Just checking.

And speaking of correct grammar and strong writing skills - are you the author of best-selling book like JD Vance is?

What a stupid comment.

Most of us are not involved in day to day events, but there are times when community feedback is requested and parents weigh in. Conversations with other families at events formal or informal are not generally (thank goodness) political in nature, but it’s nice when people bring different perspectives and experiences to the table. I don’t think the Vance family coming to SR will have a profound impact but getting to know people who are different than you—by whatever measure—is important. It’s much easier to demonize people when you never interact with them.

But should we not demonize those who demonize others, particularly historically marginalized minority communities who lack a voice and access to power. In short, should we tolerate intolerance?

Yes, you should. Unless you want to be intolerant yourself. See how that works?

So you would just bend over for Hitler, huh? Why am I not surprised.
