DP. So because Latino student groups form on campus, we can attribute their positions and actions to all Latinos? And vice versa? There's a word for that...what is it again? Oh yeah. Racism. |
DP Fact: Modern day terrorism was born of Zionist terrorism in furtherance of forcing the U.N. hands. It’s a fact. It’s not open for debate. Own your own shit before you point fingers at others. |
| Why are some people on X that support Trump so anti- Jewish. I am not sure if I can post the link to the tweets they posted it without getting banned. |
Lol @ "fact". Totally ahistorical AND completely misses the point. Bravo on the doubleheader. |
The Jewish homeland is just as much Iraq or Jordan as it is Israel. Abraham was not from Israel. Jews like Arabs were nomadic and transient people, largely merchants and business people that wandered the desert in caravans and made kingdoms everywhere in the ME as far as out as Africa and Persia. Lots of Jewish states existed in Yemen throughout history for example. The settlers in Israel aren’t exactly wrong when they say Jordan and Lebanon and Syria were part of Greater Israel too. It was. But at what point does expansionism end? The majority of Israelis do not want to settle in Lebanon and are happy with Israel’s current borders. Netanyahu And his constituents are not and want to expand West Bank settlements to Lebanon ASAP per their words. Clearing out Southern Lebanon has very little to do with Hezbollah on its own and more to do with Israeli manifest destiny. Otherwise, why not target Hezbollah in their cars instead of apartment buildings? Historically, Israel always failed when trying to annex territory or create an empire. Due to the nature of the small Jewish population, it’s virtually impossible to create empires but Netanyahu is no student of history but a king of his own making and mind |
| As usual another DCUM thread devolves into anti-semitism. |
If Latinos pick and choose when they say that a particular student group is representative of Latinos and that group relentlessly finds itself at the center of conflict with others (I’m being charitable since the proper analogue would be “causing conflict with others”), yeah, that’s exactly what I mean and no, it’s not racist. |
You literally just blatantly lied in accusing another person of lying, and did it with the confidence of a serial liar. Kudos. It is fact. Care for some examples like the King David Hotel, the Deir Yassin massacre, the link to YouTube videos of Irgun, Lehi and Stern Gang terrorists laughing about their historical terrorism? Past PMs of Israel laughing about it? |
As usual, inconvenient facts trigger another apologist into trying to intimidate the thread away. |
Go watch the John Oliver segment on the West Bank and then skulk back here to defend your view that Israelis are not much more in their natural comfort zone as terrorists. Hardly surprising since so many are Eastern European imports with criminal and sexual misconduct histories. |
Please explain why it is antisemitic to object to the human rights violations that have been perpetrated against the people of Gaza by the Israeli government. |
There was no social media in the 80s so people didn’t see bombed or limbless children. Americans are very sensitive to war and Vietnam’s war journalism caused huge outrage in the US. We never saw war ever in the same way again and the news media made sure of it. However, social media and TikTok is its own beast entirely and the algorithms push more and more images to a person that’s already seen one so there you go. It helps explain the generational gap for sure because a college kid on TikTok is more likely to be anti Israel than a 65 year old on Facebook. There’s a reason Israel doesn’t like journalists to be around to document the war. Oddly, Hamas is better at pushing images than Israel is. Israel was doing small screenings to journalists only in theaters, and should’ve pushed the images of 10/7 to shock the world. I understand that Israel was in a bad situation though because publicizing Hamas’s crimes wouldve freaked out the hostage families who wanted their loved ones returned but the PR situation from Israel quickly tumbled due to bungled Twitter posts about hospital explosions, 40 beheaded babies, and a contested NYTimes article where the family of the main victim contests the authors statement that their daughter was raped. How would they know? Maybe she was? Just lots of rookie mistakes all around since 10/7 that prove that Israel isn’t run by its best or its brightest |
Please reread the thread. This is not the problem. |
| What is the point of keeping this thread open? It was supposed to be for Jewish people to express themselves and now it's just another "Jews are evil Zionists" thread complete with the same multi paragraph posts as every other Middle East thread. |
So long as any American Jew with a Jewish grandparent can escape to Israel to avoid trial for American crimes, then there is no distinction between the groups. If American Jews would like to be distinguished from Israel Jews, start by demanding the criminals who escape to Israel be brought back to the US to face trials. Condition any aid to that would be a good start... |
